This fine estate at the western end of the Margaux appellation has produced a smooth ripe wine. Black fruits, wood flavors and ripe tannins give it a generous feel. The wine will be ready to drink from 2026.

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2020 D'Arsac gives up notes of ripe raspberries, Bing cherries and fresh blackberries, plus hints of wild thyme and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate offers compellingly pure red berry layers with bright herbal sparks and a soft texture, leading to a refreshing finish.

Always a solid wine, the 2020 Château D'Arsac has a complex, nuanced nose of red and black fruits, dried flowers, Asian spices, and cedary herbs. It's medium-bodied and has good overall balance, ripe tannins, and wonderful purity of fruit.

The 2020 Chateau d'Arsac has a well-defined, quite elegant nose, perfumed blackberry and bilberry fruit, crushed iris petal and light cedar scents. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit and fine structure. Not a powerful 2020 with just a slight tinniness on the finish. Give this a couple of years in bottle, and this Margaux Cru Bourgeois will turn out fine.
