Spicy, structured and with a smoky character, this rich wine will develop power. It has a dense texture, layers of tannins that are integrating with the blackberry fruits. This will be a good wine as it matures. Drink from 2024.

The 2015 La Cardonne has a crisp and focused blackberry and bilberry-scented bouquet with subtle estuarine scents percolating through. The palate is medium-bodied with well-built tannin, a little sinew on the entry, but there is plenty of clean and pure fruit here, well-judged acidity and a sweet finish that needs 6 to 8 months to absorb the oak. Good potential here.

The 2015 Château La Cardonne is a solid wine based on 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc. Lots of spice, raspberries, dried flowers, and hints of background oak all emerge from this charming, medium-bodied, elegant 2015 that's beautifully made and balanced. It's a seductive 2015 to drink over the coming 8-10 years.
